Data Deletion Instructions
El Solh Family OS
Last updated: 25 August 2026
You can ask us to delete your data
El Solh Family OS is a private family coordination system. If your information is held in it — because you are a family member, or because you messaged the Family OS WhatsApp account — you can ask us to delete it.
Deletion requests are handled manually by a person. There is no self-service delete button in the product today, and no automated deletion callback with any third-party platform.
How to make a request
Email elsolhfamily@gmail.com with the subject line Family OS data deletion request, and include enough detail for us to find the right records:
- the name or display name your information is held under;
- the email address you use to sign in, if you have a Family OS account;
- which family or household your request relates to;
- what you want deleted — your whole account and associated records, or specific categories such as messages you sent, media you sent, or documents you uploaded;
- if your request is about messages sent over WhatsApp, the WhatsApp number they were sent from, so the messages can be located.
Please do not include more personal information in the request than we need to identify the records.
How we verify a request
Family OS holds information about a household, so before deleting anything we need to be reasonably confident that the request comes from someone entitled to make it. We may ask you to confirm the request from the email address associated with the account, or ask an owner or administrator of the family to confirm your authorization.
We will not act on a request from one person to delete another person’s records unless they are authorized to make it — for example a parent or guardian acting for their child.
What happens next
We will acknowledge your request and act on it within a reasonable period once it has been verified. We cannot promise instant deletion, because the process is manual.
Deleted content may persist for a period in routine backups and in operational logs until those are cycled out in the ordinary course. We do not promise a fixed timetable for that.
Limits on deletion
- Shared family records.Deleting one person’s data must not improperly delete another family member’s records. Where a record belongs to the family rather than to you alone — a shared event, or a task another member depends on — we may remove your personal details from it instead of deleting the shared record, or ask a family owner to decide.
- Security, audit and integrity records. Some records are kept so the service can be operated safely and its history explained — that a review decision was made, that a message was rejected, that an account signed in. These may be retained even after the content they describe is deleted.
- Legal obligations. Where we are required to retain something to meet a legal obligation, or to establish or defend a legal claim, we may keep it for as long as that requirement lasts.
If we cannot fully delete something you have asked about, we will tell you what was retained and why.
If you contacted us through WhatsApp
This page is the route for requesting deletion of what Family OS holds about you, including messages and media sent to the Family OS WhatsApp account. Requests are handled by email as described above.
Deleting data held by Family OS does not delete the copies of those messages held in your own WhatsApp account or by the messaging platform itself. Those are controlled through that platform, not through Family OS.
